The 7th grade science students completed a unit on energy transfer. The two main focuses were on electrical energy and how it travels through circuits, and thermal energy transfers through conductors and insulators. They practiced giving thorough directions to their partners with K'Nex, learned about the positive/negative charges of static electricity, how to build parallel circuits, and watched ice cubes melt rapidly on aluminum plates.
