The BRHS Academic Challenge team won the varsity division and took third place in the junior varsity division at the Tri-County tournament on 2/8 at West Holmes High School. Though playing short-handed, the varsity went undefeated against nine teams from Northwestern, Orrville, Triway and other area schools, thus qualifying for Ohio Academic Competition Regionals. Together the teams also won the combined trophy for the most total wins -- a first for BRHS! The varsity also won their quarter-final match in the WEOL Scholastic Games against arch rival Amherst Steele, and will play a semi-final match in April. Apart from both the LC8 and Medina County league matches every Thursday, upcoming tournaments include Copley, Cloverleaf, and NAQT Small School State.
