On December 7, eight members of the Black River FFA chapter proudly represented their

organization in the State Novice Parliamentary Procedure Career Development Event, held at the

Delaware Area Career Center. This prestigious competition challenges students to demonstrate

their expertise in conducting effective business meetings and group decision-making processes.

The event involves a simulated FFA meeting where the team showcases their mastery of

parliamentary law in front of a panel of judges. Additionally, participants complete a written

exam and answer oral questions designed to assess their comprehensive knowledge of

parliamentary procedure.

This year’s novice team included:

 Colton Roberts, President

 Leah Coffman, Vice President

 Olivia Bailey, Secretary

 Rylee Howard, Treasurer

 Caleb Howard, Sentinel

 Adyline Coffman, Reporter

 Jayden Young, Student Advisor

 Emma Macfarlane, Member

The team achieved an impressive 4th place finish in their room, earning recognition as one of the

top 20 novice teams in the state. Their hard work and dedication reflect the high standards and commitment of the Black River FFA chapter.
