Congratulations to our Black River FFA Members!
Six talented members of the Black River FFA Chapter recently showcased their skills at the District Job Interview Career Development Event at Smithville High School. This competition tested their ability to apply for and interview with an agricultural company, providing valuable real-world experience.
Students prepared résumés and cover letters, compiled portfolios, completed applications, participated in interviews, and followed up with thank-you letters. Competing in grade-level divisions, our members achieved impressive results:
Kade Kelso – 1st place (eighth-grade division)
Savanna Landrum – 3rd place (freshman division)
Addison Flynn – 2nd place (sophomore division)
Zane Bungard – 6th place (junior division)
Allysa Hamilton – 3rd place (senior division)
Payton Rutledge – 3rd place (first-year senior division)
We are incredibly proud of their dedication and success! These students not only earned recognition but also developed essential skills that will serve them well in their future careers. Great job, Black River FFA!
