Black River FCCLA has been very productive the past few weeks. We have held ten full chapter meetings, helped with the Volley Against Violence Volleyball game that the volleyball parents put on, helping the Ruriteens with Trunk or Treat, the officer team attended leadership training, and the officer team has been working diligently on the program of work for our chapter.
At our meetings, we provide a snack, fellowship time, FCCLA business items, a service opportunity and a team building activity. We are averaging 60-70 students attending our meetings, and the officer team is doing a fantastic job running meetings that are reaching not only our chapter members, but our community as well.
FCCLA is a service organization with family at its focus. FCCLA stands for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, and used to be called FHA or Future Homemakers of America. We are always looking for ways to serve our school and community, and are thankful for opportunities to help our community in any way.
