Mrs. Starkey

Hello!  I am Mrs. Tammy Starkey.   I have worked 30 plus years in education and have been with Black River Local Schools since 2004.  I have experience as a building level administrator, a gifted curriculum teacher and consultant, and my favorite job of all, a classroom teacher.  Currently, I have been the sixth grade math teacher since August 2017. I reside in Chippewa Lake with my family where we enjoy boating and fishing as often as possible.

I graduated from Kent State University with a bachelors of science in education and pursued master's degrees in curriculum and instruction as well as administration from Ashland University. It has been my lifelong passion and privilege to be an educator in both the public and private school settings. I am grateful for each day to help a student learn and realize their potential.
